Summary
여덟 살에 맞은 해방은 어른들의 술렁임으로만 기억에 남아 있다. 열세 살에는 어머니가 장티푸스로 세상을 떠났는데, 전염을 두려워한 마을 사람들이 오지 않아 지게로 져다 묻어야 했다. 얼마 뒤 어린 동생도 죽어 삼남매만 남았다.
