퇴직 후 남편도 떠나자 삶의 낙으로 산악회에 들어 매주 산을 올랐다. 이름난 산을 두루 다니다 다리 수술을 받았고, 지금은 또래들과 둘레길을 걷는다. 사람을 두루 평온하게 대하는 자신의 성격도 이야기한다.
