6·25로 초등학교 2학년 때 학교를 그만두었고, 열다섯에 다시 찾아간 학교에서도 나이가 많다며 거절당했다. 한글은 성경으로 깨쳤지만 산수와 핸드폰 글쓰기는 지금도 서툴러 여전히 배우고 싶어 한다.
